P.S.tomorrow is a spare the air day.

DFL Outlaw Cyclocross

Every year I prommise to start cyclocross, this is the year it happens, even if it mean cross dressing. So who is going to get me on the email list for this the DFL Outlaw Cyclocross series?

Yep, stole this image from Beeffaucet, like any good outlaw would.

David Chiu – For Mayor, For Bikes

Via a SFGate article, David Chiu‘s staff decides to have a multi transport cannonball run from the Civic Center to the Ferry building.

David's Staff

Of course given that David is their boss, David won.  Here are the official results:

  • Bicycle – 10 minutes travel time
  • MUNI underground – 20 minutes (includes walking time to/from stops)
  • Taxi – 20 minutes
  • Private auto – 20 minutes (includes parking time)
  • MUNI bus – 25 minutes (incl walking time)
  • Walking – 40 minutes

Yep since 1817 bikes ruled for commuting. Here is a picture of post race triumphant Chiu, which begs the question – HOW DOES HE AVOID HELMET HAIR?

Gets me to the Top of Twin Peaks, just like the old bike.

Cannondale claims the new slice is for time trailing, but I know the truth.
