WRONGBIKE Weekend

This last weekend I started Saturday morning with a cyclocross race. My first official race with numbers and all. I finished pretty low, but I finished without crashing or gear failure, which for me was an astounding success.

The cowboys of the roadie world

After that I headed to Point Reyes for some backpacking, since I had to haul an extra tent I decided to use my Burley Travoy. It’s a great urban trailer, but once the trail thins the whole setup becomes nearly useless. I was tipping all over the place. Guess I need to start shopping for a third trailer.

All the wrong gear

But hey what’s a camping trip without some kind of epic. Coffee well earned, I can’t wait for another weekend like this.

Yes, I monstrous cup was worth the haul

Where at P. R. did you camp with the bike? Been thinking of heading up there in November for some back packing, and if I could bike in, that would change almost everything.

I stayed at Glen Camp. You can also stay at Cost Camp (some serious hill to climb) and Sky Camp.

  1. No trackbacks yet.
